Cardiff City kicked off their pre-season in style! The Bluebirds are back at it, with Brian Barry-Murphy and his squad preparing for an exciting return to the Championship. Spotted at the Vale Resort training base were familiar faces like Rubin Colwill and Chris Willock, all geared up in their fresh Castore kits. Fans might notice the absence of striker Roko Simic in the initial pics, but fear not, he’s confirmed his return to Cardiff.
It was a big day for the club’s youth talent too. Four of our promising under-21 players, including goalkeepers Jake Dennis and Ewan Griffiths, penned new deals. Midfielders Troy Perrett and Trey George have extended their stay as well, with Perrett reflecting on his debut goal against Arsenal Under-21s and his senior experience at Yeovil Town.
Not all players returned though. Striker Luke Pearce bid farewell after his contract expired, departing the club after a stint that included appearances in the FA Cup and a loan spell at Sligo Rovers.
With pre-season now underway, the focus shifts to ramping up training ahead of a packed schedule of fixtures. The energy is high at Cardiff and it’s shaping up to be an exciting season! 💙⚽ #Bluebirds #CardiffCity #ChampionshipReady
