Heads up, Port Talbot! 🚧 Big changes are coming to Harbour Way as part of essential roadworks set to kick off this summer. Starting July 6, 2026, the A4241 Harbour Way near Oakwood Road will be temporarily closed in sections over the next four months.
Why, you ask? The road’s getting a bit of a facelift with some much-needed civil engineering and highway maintenance works. While this means that both east and westbound lanes will see closures stretching around 400 metres at a time, they won’t be closed all at once. So, expect disruptions but not a full shutdown.
Don’t worry, though! Local traffic can still navigate through alternative routes via the unaffected parts of Harbour Way, as well as Harbourside Road, A48 Heilbronn Way, Talbot Road, Commercial Road, and Margam Road. And in case you need it, access for emergency services and pedestrians will remain open throughout.
