🌟 Exciting times for Swansea! 🌊 Big plans are in motion to transform the iconic Civic Centre into a dazzling seafront destination! Picture this: over 100 new homes, a saltwater lido, a stunning roof terrace and sundeck, light-filled atrium, plus cafés, bars, shops, and flexible workspaces! 🏠🍹🏖️
The redesign also includes a “next-generation” aquarium and brand new leisure and event facilities to breathe fresh life into the area, aiming to create a vibrant community hub for living, working, and play.
Your opinion matters! 🗣️ The council is inviting all residents to head to Y Storfa next week for an in-depth look at the plans and to share thoughts on July 8th and 9th. Can’t make it in person? No worries, there’s an online consultation too!
Swansea Council’s leader, Rob Stewart, emphasised how this unique opportunity can reclaim the Civic Centre’s potential as a prime waterfront spot and hopes it will become a place we all love. Partnering with Urban Splash, who have over 30 years of experience transforming spaces, this project is backed by a £20m investment from the UK Government. 💷
David Warburton from Urban Splash is eager to merge its architectural charm with a vibrant reinvention, ensuring it becomes a proud feature for Swansea for generations. 🌟 Don’t miss out on making your voice heard in this exciting stage of development! Your say is crucial as Urban Splash prepares to submit a full planning application later this year. 🏗️
