Swansea City’s Ethan Galbraith is off to Stoke City in a stunning move! After a brilliant season in south Wales, the Northern Ireland midfielder has been snapped up by Stoke for over £10 million. Galbraith made waves during his short stint with the Swans, quickly becoming a fan favourite and a key player for manager Vitor Matos.

The 25-year-old, who initially came from Leyton Orient, has certainly left his mark playing right-back and in midfield. Clubs like West Ham and Wrexham showed interest, but Stoke was quick to seal the deal after Swansea accepted an eight-figure offer. Although this is a big loss for Swansea, who were hoping to keep Galbraith with a new contract, it’s a win for their player trading strategy, having signed him for just £1.6 million last year.
The club thanked Ethan in a heartfelt statement, wishing him all the best with the Potters. Fans will feel his absence, but Swansea looks set to reinvest the money into new talent, with RB Salzburg’s Moussa Yeo recently joining the squad.
