Our young Welsh squad remains unbeaten in this year’s World Rugby Junior World Championship after an electrifying performance against Uruguay U20s. With a total of seven tries, our lads set the stage for a thrilling pool decider against the reigning champs, South Africa, on Tuesday. It’s going to be a cracker!
Steffan Emanuel was on fire, scoring twice, while Oscar Thomas, Alex Ridgway, Brogan Leary, and Tom Bowen all added their magic to the scoreboard. Not to mention, Lloyd Lucas and Carwyn Leggatt-Jones kicked in an additional 12 points between them.π₯
The match was a showcase of skill, determination, and teamwork. Emanuel kicked off the scoring with a brilliant pass from Lucas, and our pack, led by Bath’s Thomas, executed a stunning driving lineout, grabbing the second try. Ridgway continued the momentum with two powerhouse tries, further extended by Leary’s incredible run and Bowen’s spectacular finish.
We’ve got our eyes on the prize as we gear up to face the South African giants. If we bring this energy, anything is possible!
Stay tuned for all the latest on Welsh rugby and cheer on our boys as they fight for a place in the top-four semi-finals. C’mon Wales! ππ #WalesU20 #Rugby #WalesVsSA #RugbyChampionship #JuniorWorldChampionship
