🚨 Food Safety Alert! 🚨

Heads up, folks! A recent survey of food and drink products across the UK revealed some shocking findings about popular treats. Fancy some Dubai-style chocolate, goat meat, or a slushie? You might want to reconsider! Here’s what you need to know:

🍫 Dubai-style Chocolates: Only one out of 45 samples met all safety and labelling standards. Common issues included wrong use-by dates and missing allergen info. The FSA advised against consuming these before Christmas 2025.
🐐 Goat Meat Mystery: If you thought you were buying goat meat, think again! Half of the products tested contained sheep meat, and one was even deer meat. Not what you were expecting, right?
🥤 Slushie Surprise: Some slush drinks had worrying levels of glycerol, which can cause side effects like headaches and low blood sugar in kids. The FSA recommends that children under seven steer clear, and those under ten limit intake.
This news comes after the FSA’s sixth annual retail survey, where 845 products were scrutinised for safety and correct labelling. Shoppers, stay alert and always check your labels!
