Tragic News from the Tandragee 100

Incredibly sad news from the racing community today. James Walsh, a talented motorbike racer from Cork, has tragically passed away after a horrific crash during the Senior Support race at the Tandragee 100 in Northern Ireland.

James, who had earlier celebrated victory in the Junior Support race, was involved in a catastrophic accident that brought the event to an immediate halt. Rushed to Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital by air ambulance, James’s loved ones kept vigil by his side, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Friday morning.

The racing world is in mourning. The North Armagh Motorcycle & Car Club expressed their heartbreak, highlighting the tight-knit bonds within the sport that make such losses deeply felt. They extended their deepest sympathies to James’s partner Claire, his mum Geraldine, his family, and friends.
Claire, deeply heartbroken, honoured James’s legacy by revealing that his kidneys were donated, providing hope to others even in his passing. “James, my love, my best friend, my world… you have once more helped people on your way out,” she shared.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic event. 💔
Rest in peace, James. Your passion and spirit will forever be remembered. 🏍️
