🚨 Heads up, Cardiff residents! If you noticed something unusual in the sky, you’re not alone. A National Police Air Service (NPAS) plane was busy circling our skies for over five hours! 👀✈️

Starting this afternoon, the plane focused on Ely, Gabalfa, and Rumney, with a few laps around the city centre and St Mellons too. The buzz of the NPAS plane was hard to miss, as one Gabalfa resident mentioned it hovered for what felt like ages.
The reason? It’s believed to be linked to recent issues with electric bike disturbances. There have been concerns about anti-social behaviour on e-bikes, with balaclava-wearing individuals reportedly causing trouble on the Taff Trail, even leading to a dispersal order in Gabalfa.

South Wales Police are at the helm, tackling crimes like drug dealing, anti-social behaviour, and e-bike-related thefts. The NPAS team, operating from East Midlands Airport, is supporting local forces in this effort.

Stay tuned for more updates as we learn about the results of this aerial attention! If you’ve got any insights or witnessed something interesting, share in the comments below! 💬
