🏉 Big weekend for Welsh rugby! 🏉
🔴 Wales’ Head Coach, Steve Tandy, is calling on all fans to pack the Cardiff City Stadium as they kick off their first Nations Championship against Fiji. It’s a home fixture for Fiji, but Tandy is hoping for a big turnout from the Welsh fans to boost the team’s spirit. Let’s get behind our squad and make our support felt!
🌍 Meanwhile, at the World U20s Championship, Wales has flown in Rhys Cole and George Leyland after injuries hit the team ahead of their crucial match against South Africa. The squad’s been doing well so far, beating both Georgia and Uruguay.
🚨 On a more serious note, the tournament has been overshadowed by allegations of racism. Spanish player Mateo Aragon is under scrutiny for alleged racial abuse during their clash with France. A disciplinary hearing is set to determine the outcome. Such behaviour has no place in rugby or anywhere else, and standing against it is crucial.
🔨 In club news, Gabe Hawley, the promising prop, has signed a senior contract with the Scarlets. The 23-year-old is eager to make a mark in the senior squad this season. Exciting times ahead for the Scarlets!
👩🏫 On the women’s side, Ashley Beck is now Wales Women’s full-time attack coach. After an impactful temporary stint during the Six Nations, Beck’s eager to keep building the team’s momentum and success.
👉 Let’s support all our teams and celebrate the spirit of rugby! Share your thoughts and let’s rally behind Wales! 🏉💪
