Big news from Aberavon Beach! 🚒 Franco’s, the beloved fish and chip shop, had to evacuate customers after a fryer pan fire at around 11am on Saturday. The fire spread to the shop’s extraction system, but thanks to the quick action of the staff and the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, everyone got out safely.

Franco’s team is relieved to report that no one was injured, although some of their equipment did take a hit. This means the popular chippy will need to stay closed temporarily while repairs are underway. But, don’t despair seafood lovers! They’re aiming to reopen just in time for Sunday lunch. 🐟🍟
The crew at Franco’s wants to shout out the emergency services for their swift help and extend a massive thank you to the local community for their support and patience. Your love and understanding mean the world to them!

Stay tuned for updates on when you can grab those seaside chips again! 🌊✨
