The operation wasn’t just about taking bikes off the streets; it tackled anti-social behaviour head-on. The police plane played a key role, tracking down troublemakers from Ely to Rumney. Residents had been hoping for action against “electric bikers” who’ve been causing havoc in recent weeks.
Among those caught: a man with 33 wraps of drugs, an 18-year-old without a licence or insurance, and a 16-year-old suspected of distributing drugs! Several arrests were made with the aid of the aircraft in spotting the offenders. 🕵️♂️📸
Councillor Ed Stubbs praised the operation, noting the dangers these illegal rides pose to the public. The crackdown is in response to community concerns and aims to restore safety to Cardiff’s trails and streets.
