Tragedy has struck at Llyn Geirionydd near Trefriw with the sad passing of 21-year-old Rowan Booth from Prestatyn, who encountered difficulties while paddleboarding. Despite a massive rescue operation involving police and dive teams, Rowan’s life could not be saved.
Rowan, a beloved team member at DW Property Maintenance, was celebrated for his kindness and the joy he brought into every room. His employer described him as not only a colleague but a cherished friend, highlighting the irreplaceable gap his absence leaves.
Rowan’s sister, Madelaine, shared heartfelt words, remembering him as someone who would do anything for anyone, offering help without expecting anything in return. His generous spirit and big heart touched many lives, creating memories that will be fondly remembered.
A GoFundMe page has been set up in his honour to support funeral arrangements. The community has rallied together, raising nearly £4,000, showcasing the impact Rowan had on those around him.
