Cardiff City fans, get ready for some football action across the pond! The Bluebirds are heading to Ireland for a pre-season training camp in Cork. As part of their preparations for the new season, they’ll be taking on Irish side Cork City this Tuesday.
Despite a rough start with a 6-0 defeat against Danish side Midtjylland last weekend, manager Brian Barry-Murphy is eager to see progress. However, not everyone will be joining the Irish adventure. Roko Simic, Jesper Daland, and Kion Etete are sticking with the under-21s back home. Dakarai Mafico’s absence has raised eyebrows, as his reason for staying behind isn’t clear yet.
On a brighter note, Eli King is making a comeback after his cruciate ligament tear, and young talent Jack Sykes, who had a brief stint with the first team last season, is also included in the squad.
