🌟 Exciting times in the football world! Leeds United have snapped up Matthew Jenkins, Cardiff City’s highly-regarded performance analyst, in a major staff reshuffle. Jenkins has been a key figure at Cardiff, earning praise from head coach Brian Barry-Murphy, who said Jenkins “blew him away” with his exceptional work.
For over eight years, Jenkins rose through the ranks at Cardiff, making significant contributions to the team’s performance and analysis. His stellar efforts helped Cardiff clinch promotion last season, and now he’s set to bring his expertise to Leeds’ Premier League campaign as their first-team performance analyst.
This move leaves Cardiff with some big shoes to fill. It’s been a summer of change for the Bluebirds, with a search underway not just for Jenkins’ replacement but also for a new goalkeeper coach and an under-18s head coach after recent departures.
What a journey it has been for Jenkins! While Cardiff fans might be sad to see him go, there’s excitement in the air to see what this talented analyst will bring to Leeds United. We wish him all the success as he steps into this new chapter! ⚽✨
