🏆 Could a Bank Holiday Be on the Cards for England’s World Cup Victory? 🏴
As England gears up for the World Cup semi-final against Argentina tonight, fans across the UK are buzzing with one burning question: Will we get a Bank Holiday if the Three Lions bring home the trophy? 🦁
With a nail-biting final potentially on the horizon against Spain, excitement is reaching fever pitch. Word on the street is that the Government’s got a plan for a one-off Bank Holiday if England goes all the way!
Here’s the scoop:
🗓 Proposed Holiday Date: Friday, 24th July
📆 Why? Gives us time to organise epic celebrations and maybe even join a victory parade! 🎉
What’s the PM saying? Well, Keir Starmer is keeping things mysterious, but hasn’t ruled out the idea. 🤷♂️ He might even jet off to New York for the final if England makes it past Argentina!
If you’re a business owner, keep your ears peeled as we might hear official news as soon as Thursday morning, assuming England triumphs.
Fun Fact: If this happens, it’ll be the first-ever World Cup Bank Holiday for England. Not even in ’66 did we get an extra day off!
Keep those fingers crossed, support our lads tonight, and who knows, we might be celebrating with an extra day to bask in the glory! 👏 Let’s bring it home, England! 💪
