Diagnosed with cancer only a few months ago, Geraint bravely battled through an operation to remove a massive tumour. Even in his final days, his selflessness shone through as he raised over £4,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and donated ticket sales for concerts he couldn’t attend to 4Dewi Mental Health. This touching gesture reflects the love and generosity he spread throughout his life.

Beddau RFC shared their grief on social media, describing Gazza as “a cherished friend, a larger than life character, and undoubtedly one of the most popular people ever to have walked through the doors of our club.” They emphasized how his infectious smile and humour lit up every room, forging bonds that lasted a lifetime.

Gazza’s legacy extends beyond rugby; he was a passionate golfer, CrossFit enthusiast, and motorcycle club member. Yet, most importantly, he was a devoted husband and loving father whose memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Kirsty, their two daughters, and his entire family during this difficult time. A gofund.me page has raised significant support for them, showing the immense impact Gazza had on his community.

Rest easy, Gazza, and thank you for the laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. You’ll be forever celebrated as a true Beddau man and a rugby legend. 💚💛
