🏉 Exciting Rugby Update! 🏉
This afternoon, the Wales U20s squad is ready for battle against Scotland U20s in a thrilling showdown, aiming for their best World Rugby U20 Championship finish since 2013! 🌟
Kick-off is at 5:30pm and the action is LIVE on Premier Sports. Our boys have shown fierce determination, clinching three out of four games so far, including an unforgettable 38-36 victory over Australia last weekend. But now, they face a tough Scottish team basking in confidence after defeating Argentina 44-26. 💪🏽
Under the strategic guidance of coach Richard Whiffin, we’re fielding a formidable team. Co-captains Steffan Emanuel and Deian Gwynne are set to lead with vigour, and the tactical tweaks, like Tom Cottle stepping in as blindside flanker and Gwynne moving to No 8, promise an intense game. Meanwhile, Bristol Bears’ George Leyland fills in on the loosehead due to George Tuckley’s injury.
In the words of centre Steff Emanuel: “It’s massive for us! We want to be the first since 2013 to achieve this for our country, bringing pride to those back home. This is going to be one heck of a challenge!”
Team spirit and national pride are high, and we’re all set for a match filled with passion and grit. Let’s rally behind our young stars and cheer them to victory! 🏆
Here’s the lineup:
Wales U20s: Lewis Edwards; Rhys Cummings, Osian Darwin-Lewis, Steffan Emanuel, Tom Bowen; Carwyn Leggatt-Jones, Sion Davies; George Leyland, Tom Howe, Jac Pritchard, Will Evans, Osian Williams, Tom Cottle, Caio James, Deian Gwynne.
Replacements: Oscar Thomas, Hudson Nevin, Yestyn Cook, Alex Ridgway, Sam Morgan, Cai Gealy, Lloyd Lucas, Bailey Cutts.
