Heartbreak for our Wales U20s squad! Despite a valiant effort, they finished sixth in the World Rugby U20 Championship after a nail-biting 28-21 defeat to Scotland in Tbilisi. The boys put on a strong performance, with Will Evans, Jac Pritchard, and Lewis Edwards each scoring tries. Carwyn Leggatt-Jones and Lloyd Lucas added crucial points with their kicks.

The match was a back-and-forth battle, showcasing some intense moments. Wales dominated early on as Evans muscled through to score with Leggatt-Jones converting. Pritchard’s try pushed the lead to 14-0, but Scotland fought back, bringing the game to a tense 14-14 at halftime.

In the second half, Scotland took the lead with a strategic play resulting in a try by Joe Roberts and another by Daniel Kelly, making the score 28-21. Despite Wales’s relentless attacks and spirited play in the final 15 minutes, which saw Scotland reduced to 13 men at one point, the boys fell just short as Osian Williams knocked on with the line at his mercy.
Our lads played their hearts out, and while the result wasn’t what they’d hoped for, they’ve shown incredible potential. We’ll be cheering them on as they learn and grow from this experience. Upwards and onwards! 🏉✨ #WalesRugby #RugbyU20 #WelshPride
