Gabby Logan dodges another awkward World Cup moment! 🎤⚽️

During the exciting World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, Gabby Logan took the stage as the first woman to present the men’s final on BBC. Joining her were football legends Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, and Micah Richards for some expert half-time analysis.

With a goalless first half, hopes were high for the special half-time show at MetLife Stadium. The star-studded lineup featured Madonna, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, BTS, the Muppets, Ted Lasso, Justin Bieber, and Shakira. Thankfully for Gabby, the BBC broadcasted the entire spectacle without interruptions, breaking away from a past hiccup that left viewers fuming during the tournament’s opening ceremony.
Previously, fans were let down when full performances, like Michael Bublé’s, were clipped in favour of football chat. Bublé himself humorously spotlighted the mishap, leading to a friendly exchange between him and Gabby. What could have been a lasting grudge ended up as a light-hearted invitation to his upcoming gig.
This time around, despite the mixed reactions and Rooney’s candid remarks that some of the acts weren’t quite his cup of tea, Gabby was in the clear. The scheduled 15-minute break extended to over 27 minutes, but all the acts got their moment, and Gabby avoided any more toe-curling backlash.
