A shocking verdict has been reached in the trial of a 15-year-old boy accused of stabbing his teacher at Milford Haven School. The teenager has been found not guilty of attempted murder but guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. It was a tense day at Swansea Crown Court as the jury delivered an 11-1 majority decision after more than four hours of deliberation.

Back in February, history teacher Vicki Williams faced a terrifying ordeal when the boy, who cannot be named, unexpectedly attacked her in her classroom. Carrying a kitchen knife in his rucksack, he approached Mrs Williams, engaged her in conversation, then produced the knife and launched the attack, striking her in the head.
Mrs Williams bravely fought back, sustaining injuries to her head, hands, and back during the altercation. The boy claimed he took the knife to school to “show off” and insisted the injuries were accidental, occurring during a struggle when he refused to hand over the weapon.

After the incident, the boy fled to his grandmother’s house but was apprehended shortly after. Mrs Williams later shared the harrowing thought that she might not survive the attack, fearing her child had seen her for the last time.
