🚨 **Drama at Flintshire Airport!** 🚨

A light aircraft caused quite the buzz on Saturday when it flipped over on the runway at Hawarden Airport. Thankfully, the two passengers onboard escaped without a scratch!

Emergency services swooped in around 3:10 pm, but the Welsh Ambulance Service soon confirmed their help wasn’t needed as both individuals were fine. Meanwhile, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service teams from Deeside, Buckley, and Wrexham were on hand to manage the scene.

Photos from the runway show fire engines and a low loader crane working to recover the plane from its nose-down position at a 45-degree angle. Talk about a tricky manoeuvre!
Airport operations were halted for about seven hours, with flights resuming at 10 pm. Hawarden Airport, known for hosting everything from business jets to the iconic Airbus Beluga transporters, was back in action by nightfall.
