๐ฟ๐ซ New Recycling Rules Alert! ๐ซ๐ฟ

Heads up, garden lovers! The “Simpler Recycling” rules are here, but they come with a few changes you need to know. Gone are the days when you could chuck certain garden items into the recycling bin without a second thought! ๐ฎโจ

These updated regulations are all about making recycling more efficient and eco-friendly, but not everything in your garden makes the cut anymore. So, next time you’re sprucing up your outdoor space or clearing out the shed, remember these items are no longer recyclable:
๐ซ Animal bedding
๐ซ Bulky waste like garden furniture and fencing
๐ซ Garden tools or gardening equipment
๐ซ Plant pots
๐ซ Plastics such as plastic bottles
๐ซ Sand, sawdust, stone, gravel, or bricks
๐ซ Tea bags or coffee grounds
Heads up! Branches and trees over a certain size might need trimming down to fit the new norms. And donโt forget, food and garden waste need their own separate collection now! ๐๏ธ๐ฑ๐ฅ
Before you toss, make sure to check out the complete list on the Government’s website and double-check with your local council to see if these rules are in action in your area. Not everywhere is following these guidelines just yet, with some areas exempt until 2040. ๐๏ธ๐
By staying informed, we can all do our part to enhance sustainability and reduce landfill waste. Share this to ensure your green-thumbed pals donโt get caught out! ๐๐
