🚨 Transfer Rumour Alert: Could Rangers Star John Souttar Be Heading to Cardiff City? 🧐
In a surprising twist, Cardiff City are reportedly eyeing a move for Rangers’ defender and Scotland international, John Souttar, as they continue revamping their squad for the upcoming Championship season. Despite not being a priority position, rumours are swirling that the Bluebirds have joined the likes of Sheffield United and Watford in expressing interest in the 29-year-old centre-back.
Souttar, known for his solid defensive skills and leadership on the pitch, is considering his future at Ibrox after the World Cup, where he travelled with the Scotland squad but didn’t make an appearance. With a solid track record at Rangers, Hearts, and Dundee United, he could be a strong addition to any Championship team.
Here’s the catch—Cardiff’s transfer focus is firmly on reinforcing other areas, such as central midfield, left-back, winger, and striker. Their pursuit of Tromsø midfielder Jens Hjertø-Dahl highlights the midfield as a top priority, while they’re also keen to strengthen their attacking options.
On the defensive front, Cardiff seems well-equipped, boasting players like Calum Chambers and Gabriel Osho. Unless there’s a significant defensive departure, a move for another senior centre-back isn’t exactly high on the agenda. But hey, the transfer window can be unpredictable, so who knows what might happen next! ⚽️
Stay tuned for more updates and let us know your thoughts on a possible Souttar move to Cardiff! Would it be a good fit? 🤔
