🚨 Royal Mail Alert 🚨
Heads up, folks! If you’re waiting for post in Wales, you might experience a delay. Royal Mail has flagged delivery disruptions affecting 23 areas in Wales. This includes places like Barry, Brecon, Penarth, and Carmarthen.
Why the hold-up? The main culprits are high staff absences and resourcing challenges. Unfortunately, this means they can’t commit to their usual six-day delivery schedule in some areas. But don’t worry, they’re rotating deliveries to minimise the wait and providing extra support where needed. A massive shoutout to everyone for their patience and understanding during these tricky times!
On the brighter side, Royal Mail is committed to getting better. After a £21 million fine last year due to missed delivery targets, they’re investing significantly to up their game. They aim to adapt their network, maintaining the one-price-goes-anywhere service we all love. The plan? Roll out a new delivery model by Christmas, with improvements already in motion.
