In a scene right out of an action film, Bear was seen collecting his Waitrose shopping from the beach near Abersoch on the stunning Llŷn Peninsula. But he wasn’t just using any ordinary vehicle—Bear showed up in an impressive custom-built amphibious boat, complete with wheels, perfect for navigating both land and sea!
In true adventurous form, the 52-year-old TV presenter and survival expert donned his life jacket and shorts to hop off his boat and grab his delivery. Local onlookers were surprised and delighted as he casually stopped for a chat, blending everyday life with a touch of wilderness thrill.
Bear owns the nearby Ynys Tudwal Fawr (St Tudwal’s Island West), a private haven off the Welsh coast which he bought back in 2001. When he’s not traversing the mainland or braving the wilds, Bear enjoys his time on the serene island. Home to an array of wildlife like grey seals, bottlenose dolphins, and more, it’s no wonder Bear is drawn to its natural beauty.
