Exciting news for Cardiff! The city is set to shine with the next phase of the Plasdŵr housing development now underway. This project aims to deliver a whopping 7,000 homes in the western part of Cardiff, and the latest addition, Porth yr Awen, has just got the green light!

Edenstone Homes and the Codi Group are teaming up to build 184 brand new homes at the £55 million Porth yr Awen site. Nestled near Radyr, Danescourt, Fairwater, Pentrebane, and St Fagans, this area is buzzing with potential.

Expect a mix of 127 open-market homes and 57 affordable options, offering everything from cosy one-beds to spacious four-bedroom properties and flats. First homes are hitting the market by early 2027, with residents moving in shortly after.
Kicking off the construction is a new spine road, laying the groundwork for this vibrant community. Simon Lewis from Codi shares, “We’re creating places where communities can grow and thrive.”
Since the initial planning permissions were granted back in 2016 and 2017, Plasdŵr has been making waves with quality facilities popping up, including schools, shops, parks, and more. It’s all coming together beautifully!
Stay tuned as this exciting chapter for Cardiff unfolds. 🏠✨
