Rugby drama alert! Italy’s tough prop, Marco Riccioni, faces a two-match ban after a wild off-field incident left a Test match in turmoil! During Italy’s clash against Australia in Perth, Riccioni, who was subbed out in the 54th minute, found himself back in action – but not in the way anyone expected. Just 12 minutes later, chaos erupted when Australia’s Massimo Amatosero dragged an Italian player towards the Italian bench, sparking a full-on brawl among players.

In the heat of it all, Riccioni, still in his warm-up jacket, aimed a punch at Amatosero and was promptly shown a red card by referee Christophe Ridley after review. The match ended in a tough 57-10 loss for Italy.

Following a review, Riccioni appeared before the Foul Play Review Committee and admitted to the foul play. Originally handed a four-match suspension, Riccioni’s punishment was sliced down to two games, taking his remorse and clean record into account.
So, what’s next for Riccioni? Now heading to Perpignan, he’ll miss the upcoming matches against Biarritz and Bath. Italy is set to hit the field again on November 7 against reigning champions South Africa. Rugby – never a dull moment! 🏉🔥
