π Tragedy Strikes After a Day of Fun

Nathan Lee Ariel, a beloved 37-year-old groundworker from Maesteg, was found unresponsive in his car a day after enjoying a barbecue with friends. His family, who saw him earlier that Saturday, had no concerns as Nathan seemed in good spirits, eager to join friends for a relaxing evening.

ποΈ The gathering took place on June 13th, and a check-in call around 5pm assured his loved ones that all was well. However, the next morning saw a tragic turn. Nathan’s car was parked at the junction of Velindre Street and Cross Street in Port Talbot, where it was noticed early at 8am. By late afternoon, a passer-by was concerned about his condition in the driverβs seat. Despite their best efforts, Nathan was sadly pronounced dead by paramedics at 5:41pm.
π South Wales Police found no signs of trauma or foul play. A post mortem at Morriston Hospital revealed cocaine toxicity as the cause of death.
Cornoner Aled Gruffydd has opened a full inquest to further investigate, set to resume in January. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Nathan’s family and friends during this difficult time. π
