The popular McArthur Glen Designer Outlet in Bridgend is gearing up for a massive expansion! 🎉 Plans have just been submitted to the local council for a 2,300-square-metre retail extension, bringing more shops and a sparkling new deck car park. This isn’t just a makeover—it’s a whole new shopping experience!
Originally launched in May 1998, this shopping haven already boasts around 80 retailers, a cinema, and tasty eateries like Nando’s and Wagamama. If the plans get the green light, expect eight new shopping units and a grander one possibly with a mezzanine! Plus, there’ll be lush landscaping to transform the space into a premium retail paradise.
While excitement is in the air, a few concerns were raised during consultations about potential noise, traffic, and litter. However, developers assure that the expansion will only be a “modest” one, with minimal impact on traffic and no increase in litter expected as there aren’t any new food outlets planned.
