π«οΈ Smoke Alert in Swansea! π«οΈ

Swansea skies are filled with smoke again as yet another grass fire has erupted, just a whisper away from homes in St Thomas. ππ₯ The dry weather continues to wreak havoc, leaving our mountains desperately thirsty and flammable.

Last night, brave firefighters rushed to Kilvey Hill, tackling the flames fiercely. The city now finds itself shrouded in smoke, with ash and embers dancing through the air. Residents, keep those windows and doors shut tight to keep the smoke at bay! πͺπ
Swansea Council’s Rob Stewart is urging everyone to heed the advice of emergency services and stay safe. This fire comes amidst a string of wildfires, including a massive blaze in Blaenavon that charred more than 300 football pitches worth of land. Can you believe it? The smoke from Blaenavon is drifting as far as 30 miles away!
Letβs all hope for some rain soon to bring relief to our scorched hills. Until then, stay alert, stay safe, and keep the community spirit alive! πͺπ§οΈ
