Swansea’s skies lit up in a dazzling spectacle as the Wales Airshow introduced its first-ever night-time display, Afterburn, leaving spectators in awe on Saturday night. The electrifying evening kicked off with the roar of the RAF Typhoon, followed by the Firebirds Display Team’s pyrotechnic stunts and the graceful maneuvers of the Otto Schweizer helicopter. But the real show-stopper was the 200 illuminated drones painting the night sky with stunning imagery, culminating in a mesmerising fireworks finale.

Thousands gathered on Swansea Bay beach to witness this twilight extravaganza that added an exciting new twist to the annual event. From spectacular aerial acrobatics to breathtaking light shows, Afterburn had it all, proving to be a massive hit and creating unforgettable memories for all who attended. The event continues on Sunday with daytime displays and more incredible sights.
