🚁🔥Drone Drama in Snowdonia!🔥🚁
Two adventurers found themselves in a fiery pickle after ignoring dire warnings and flying a drone into a blazing wildfire zone! 🚫🔥 With police roadblocks in place, they snuck past to get that perfect drone footage. But soon, they were trapped and in urgent need of a rescue.
Heroic volunteers from the South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team leapt into action, with a specialist helicopter swooping in for the dramatic save. The rescue move wasn’t just risky, but it also racked up a hefty public bill. 💸
Emergency services stressed how this sort of reckless behaviour not only endangers the rescuers but also diverts crucial resources away from fighting these massive wildfires. Plus, more folks have been caught trying to visit and camp near these dangerous spots – despite repeated warnings! 🏕
Recent wildfires have blazed across Wales, from the stunning Rhinogydd mountains, visible even from space, to Blaenavon, where smoke clouded the skies. 🚒🌍 North Wales Fire and Rescue highlighted the strain placed on their teams due to unnecessary call-outs like this.
