This fiery episode landed Edwards in Cardiff Magistrates’ Court. He admitted to assaulting his cousin, causing criminal damage, and making the dog suffer unnecessarily. His actions, according to Recorder Gregory Bull KC, went beyond what any reasonable person would consider appropriate, even in anger.

Despite the seriousness of the offences, Edwards received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was hit with a hefty £1,000 fine each for his cousin’s compensation and court costs. On top of this, he’s required to attend a 15-day rehabilitation programme and must abide by a restraining order, blocking any contact with his cousin for five years.

Let’s remember, in heated moments, it’s always best to pause and think before reacting. Violence is never the answer!
