🚴♀️🧘♂️ Brits Reveal Top Barriers to Getting Active! 🎾🏃♂️

Feeling stuck on the sofa instead of breaking a sweat? You’re not alone! Recent research points out some hurdles Brits face in their fitness journey. From the cost of gym memberships (26%) and pricey equipment (25%) to lacking motivation (27%), there are plenty of reasons why we’re not moving as much as we’d like. Perhaps the surprise is that a whopping 36% aren’t aware of the government’s recommendation of at least 2.5 hours of activity a week!

For many, it’s about accessibility. Nearly one in five lament the lack of opportunities in their area, while others have concerns like chronic health conditions (15%) or a fear of injury (15%).

🏏 In an inspiring move, KP Snacks is stepping up to the crease as the sponsor of The Hundred cricket tournament and its Cricket Cities fund. This initiative aims to break down those barriers by providing opportunities for people in underserved urban areas to get active. Vicky Pattison has even joined in on the cricket fun, showcasing that sport is for everyone!
The fact is, 69% of those living in urban settings are keen to move more. They just need a little help along the way. Imagine if local areas offered free sessions, equipment, and flexible timings. How more people could thwack a cricket ball, or simply get moving, with such opportunities!
KP Snacks believes in making fitness accessible and inclusive, and they’re putting their money where their mouth is, investing £750,000 over the next three years to support local activities.
In the end, it’s clear: we all deserve the chance to enjoy the benefits of being active, no matter where we live or what our financial situation may be. Let’s cheer on these efforts and hope more initiatives hit their stride! 🌟
