The University of St Andrews is set to bestow an honorary degree upon acclaimed Scottish actor Alan Cumming as part of its upcoming graduation ceremonies. Sustainability activist Sara Parkin, renowned for her advocacy in environmental policy and education, and US golfing legend Judy Rankin will also be recognised for their lifelong achievements.
Additional honourees include Eugene Koonin, a Russian-American scientist known for his groundbreaking research, and Professor Cynthia Enloe, an influential political theorist and feminist writer. Their presence among the awardees signifies the university’s appreciation for achievement in global science and social thought.
