**Oasis Pop-Up Store Launches in Cardiff to Rapturous Reception**

An air of excitement descended upon Cardiff’s St David’s Centre this week as music fans queued in their hundreds for the grand opening of a temporary Oasis merchandise store. The pop-up—timed to coincide with the iconic band’s highly anticipated gig at Principality Stadium in a fortnight—welcomed shoppers from across Wales and beyond, all eager to snap up exclusive memorabilia.

The shop flung open its doors at 10am on Thursday, 26 June, greeted by queues that snaked around the shopping centre. Early risers arrived well before opening, determined not to miss out on limited-edition items ranging from affordable badges at £1 to more premium jackets at £85. The scene was electric, brimming with enthusiasts keen to secure mementoes of one of Britain’s most celebrated rock acts.
Inside, fans could be seen poring over racks and shelves of official Oasis merchandise. T-shirts, hats, jackets and mugs were quickly scooped up—some for personal collections, others as gifts for family and friends who couldn’t make the journey themselves. In fact, the use of video calls was rampant as fans browsed, enabling them to act as personal shoppers for loved ones in far-flung locations.
The release of such a vast array of merch ties in with Oasis’s ‘Live 25’ tour, which includes 17 dates across the UK and Ireland. Cardiff joins a list of prestigious venues, with the tour set to continue on to North and South America, Asia, and Australia later in 2025. Merchandise, it appears, has become almost as much a part of the experience as the concerts themselves.
Music and fashion have long been intertwined, and Oasis’s influence on British street style is evident in the collection on offer. The classic parka jacket—favoured by the Gallagher brothers and an essential for any fan—featured prominently, as did bucket hats, shell tops and retro tees, allowing fans to adopt the band’s signature look in anticipation of the upcoming shows.
Amongst the crowd was Alan Edwards from Rhondda, who expressed his elation at both the atmosphere and the value for money: “It’s a great feeling in here. I’ve got my ticket for the gig, so it all feels very real now. I’ve bought a t-shirt for my wife and I’m eyeing up some of the Adidas range as well—it’s good quality and decent prices.”
The pop-up also drew international interest. Mia Friederich and Zara Mboue, visitors from Germany in Cardiff to see Lana Del Rey, found themselves lured by the buzz emanating from the shop. “We just happened to pass by and love some of the Oasis songs. The bucket hats look great, and the vibe in the shop is amazing—people here are so dedicated,” Mia remarked.
The official ‘Oasis Live 25’ collection spans men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, alongside an assortment of accessories. For those unable to make it to Cardiff, the merchandise is also available to purchase online—a move certain to satisfy fans as the tour extends to international stages.
The Oasis Fan Store occupies a convenient location within St David’s Centre, directly opposite CO.LAB, where it will remain for a limited duration until the band’s stadium performance. Judging by the turnout, both the tour and its merchandise line have struck a chord with new and long-time followers alike.
The resurgence in demand for Oasis items reflects the band’s enduring influence on British culture and music nostalgia. As Cardiff welcomes both seasoned supporters and curious newcomers, the city is set to play a central role in the Oasis revival sweeping the UK this summer.
