**Alison Hammond Set to Join Celebrity Gogglebox 2025 Alongside Family**

Celebrated television personality Alison Hammond has announced she will be taking her place on the beloved Channel 4 series, Celebrity Gogglebox, for its upcoming 2025 run. The affable presenter will appear on viewers’ screens as she reviews popular TV shows and films from her home, accompanied by two key family members: her 20-year-old son Aidan, and her sister Saundra. Their debut on the programme is set for Friday, 4th July 2025.

Alison, best known to audiences since her initial foray into the spotlight on Big Brother back in 2002, shared her enthusiasm about the new venture. “I am genuinely excited to do Celebrity Gogglebox with Aidan. Watching telly together is something we’ve always enjoyed, so to be able to do that for the nation is just brilliant,” she remarked. Hammond further added that having her “wonderful sister Saundra” join the fun will make it a “proper family affair”.
Promising viewers plenty of her trademark wit, the presenter teased, “Expect plenty of laughs, a few eye-rolls, and non-stop commentary—classic Hammond style all the way!” Her upcoming appearance is expected to add a healthy dose of warmth and humour to a show famed for its selection of candid celebrity reactions.
Hammond’s introduction to the 2025 line-up follows recent additions, including BBC Radio 2 host Sara Cox and her long-time friend Clare Hamilton. The pair, who co-host the podcast The Teen Commandments, have already become fan favourites after joining the Gogglebox cast in late June. Sara Cox previously described the experience as the realisation of a dream, noting, “Watching telly and shouting at it with my best mate—what could be better?” For Hamilton, being on Gogglebox with a friend of over three decades was, in her words, “a goosebump moment”.
As Celebrity Gogglebox enters its seventh series, it continues to cement its place as a summer television staple, drawing a host of stars across entertainment sectors. The current season boasts a glittering roster. Included among those putting their feet up for the cameras are comedian Paddy McGuinness with TV host Vernon Kay, The Inbetweeners star James Buckley joined by wife Clair, and reality staples Vicky Pattison and Pete Wicks. Pop star Jess Glynne and partner, sports commentator Alex Scott, are also part of the line-up.
Veteran musicians also have their say, with ex-Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp and his son Roman—himself a well-known presenter—lending their voices. Long-time Gogglebox favourites such as Rylan Clark and his mother Linda, former The Big Breakfast hosts Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan, as well as Happy Mondays icons Shaun Ryder and Bez, continue their popular appearances.
Gavin and Stacey’s Larry Lamb teams up with son George Lamb for their own unique takes, while former paralympian Ellie Simmonds brings radio host Richie Anderson into the Gogglebox fold. Not to be outdone, comedian Jennifer Saunders teams up with daughter Beattie Edmondson, and BBC Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw shares screen time with his niece, Liv.
Rounding off the star-studded ensemble are comic duo Babatunde Aléshé and Mo Gilligan, Diversity’s Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, and the pairings of TV personality Jamie Laing with comedian Munya Chawawa, and broadcaster Clare Balding with wife Alice Arnold.
For Channel 4, the ability to attract and unite personalities representing different backgrounds and generations remains a crucial ingredient in the show’s ongoing popularity. Programmes such as Celebrity Gogglebox not only invite viewers into the living rooms of the famous, but create genuine moments of relatability—highlighting that, celebrity or not, the act of commenting on telly is a pastime shared by millions across the nation.
With Alison Hammond’s family dynamic joining the mix, expectations are set for a fresh wave of memorable television. Viewers can look forward to insightful, heartfelt, and, undoubtedly, hilarious commentary as the Hammonds settle in for their first series. As the show continues to celebrate the simple joy of watching TV together, the new season promises many more moments for audiences to laugh along at home.
