**Three Held on Suspicion of Murder After Fatal Crash into Birmingham Home**
Three individuals have been taken into custody following a tragic incident in Birmingham that left a man in his twenties dead after a vehicle struck both him and a house, police have confirmed. The event unfolded early on Monday evening in the Rednal area, sparking a significant emergency response and a murder investigation.
Emergency services were dispatched to Ormscliffe Road at around 5.10pm on Monday after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a car, which subsequently collided with a residence. On arrival, paramedics discovered a young man suffering from multiple traumatic injuries and in an extremely critical state. Police revealed that shortly after the collision, a 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. We are particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have seen the incident or have any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage,” they stated. “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that they received multiple emergency calls from members of the public witnessing the crash. In response, an ambulance, two paramedic officers, a trauma team from the Midlands Emergency Response Intervention Team (MERIT), and a critical care specialist attended the scene.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service described the efforts made to save the victim: “On arrival, our team found a man in a critical condition and immediately provided advanced life support. He was conveyed on emergency blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Sadly, despite the very best efforts of everyone involved, he was pronounced dead at hospital that night.”
The police investigation is ongoing, with officers now seeking any additional information that could shed light on what happened leading up to the crash.
