Heads up, rail travellers! This upcoming bank holiday weekend, you’re in for a bit of a diversion if you’re travelling between Bridgend and Maesteg. Network Rail will be carrying out essential work on the Coedtrehen bridge, which means buses will take over the service on Saturday, 23rd August, and Sunday, 24th August. 🚍🔧
Starting from 10 pm on Friday, 22nd August and wrapping up by 5 pm on Monday, 25th August, a dedicated team will be strengthening, painting, and resurfacing the bridge. While they promise to keep the disruption to a minimum, it’s still a good idea to plan ahead and check your travel options.
