TV favourite Davina McCall has shared a powerful message about life and death after having a benign brain tumour removed. Speaking on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, the former Big Brother host revealed she’s no longer afraid of dying. Her final MRI confirmed the colloid cyst discovered during a health check-up for her menopause advocacy work is not making a comeback!

Davina, who many know from The Masked Singer, mentioned the transformative journey she experienced between August 2023 and November 2024. Reflecting on life, Davina launched a podcast called Begin Again, encouraging everyone to live a life they wouldn’t regret on their deathbed. She talks about living the life she truly wanted—free of “I wish I’d done that” moments.

Her kids were her main concern during the health scare. Davina candidly shared the mental rollercoaster of worrying about how they’d cope without her. But after some deep chats, she realised they would be just fine. She said, “They’d miss me and I’d want to be with them, but they would be okay.”

Post-surgery, Davina spent time in intensive care before a heartfelt recovery at home with partner Michael Douglas. She called the entire ordeal “the hardest thing I’ve ever been through” while presenting for Comic Relief.

Davina continues to be a powerhouse advocate for women’s health. She’s been an MBE since 2023 for her services to broadcasting, and in 2024, she received a special recognition award at the National Television Awards.
