Tragic news from Torpoint, Cornwall: A 52-year-old man has died following a shocking incident at the Co-op on Fore Street. On August 6th, a violent disturbance led to the man being restrained by another customer. Sadly, he became unresponsive and was rushed to Derriford Hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts, he passed away on August 9th.
A local man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail while further investigations are ongoing. Police are urging anyone who witnessed what happened or has additional information to get in touch, quoting log number 696 of 06/08/25.
