Exciting times ahead for Tonypandy! π Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is gearing up with fantastic plans to breathe new life into the town centre, and they want your thoughts. With nearly Β£20m in UK Shared Prosperity Funding, these plans are big!

Here’s what’s on the table:

πΏ Sprucing up Gelli Road with new green spaces and memorial garden upgrades.
π΄ββοΈ More active travel facilities to make cycling and walking easier.
ποΈ Enhancing derelict high street properties.
π Making the town’s gateways like bus and train stations more welcoming.
They’re teaming up with local businesses through a new Business Improvement District (BID) to make all of this happen, aiming to attract future investment and set the stage for a vibrant town centre.
But itβs not just about the plans – it’s about creating a Tonypandy that’s welcoming, connected, celebrates its rich history, and is filled with thriving businesses. Imagine living among local shops, with spots to gather for arts, events, and just good old community spirit.
