A shocking incident unfolded at Liverpool Central Station when a carer, simply trying to give his charge a memorable day, was attacked. On Saturday evening, two women reportedly turned aggressive, punching the carer in the face and threatening him. The man in his 50s endured facial bruising and cuts to his arm, all while looking after another man in a wheelchair.

Authorities are on the hunt for the assailants and have released CCTV images in hopes of identifying the women involved. Detective Inspector Paula Jones described the attack as “unprovoked,” urging the public to help, especially if they witnessed the event or recognise the individuals in the images.

“This was supposed to be a day out but was ruined by such senseless aggression,” she added. Both men were left feeling vulnerable after the ordeal.
