A massive heap of rubbish, including plastics, wood, and metal, has been illegally dumped in a layby on the A494, leaving locals and authorities bewildered. The pile was discovered in Llanferres, Denbighshire, and has sparked an investigation by Natural Resources Wales (NRW).

The mess includes “trommel fines,” which are tiny particles sorted during waste processing. It’s thought the dumping occurred overnight, between 10pm on Wednesday, August 13, and 6am the next day, possibly involving a lorry.
