🚰💧Major Water Outage Update for Flintshire Residents!💧🚰

Heads up, everyone! Welsh Water has been working tirelessly after a significant burst in a water main left thousands without supply this week. Although the repairs wrapped up on Friday, there’s still some waiting before everything’s back to normal. Relief is on the horizon, with water expected to flow fully by Sunday afternoon. 🙌

The issue began on Thursday, affecting Deeside and stretching to Talacre. Unfortunately, the initial fix didn’t hold up, prompting immediate action when further problems arose. Some folks have been facing dry taps for days during this sticky summer heatwave. 🥵
To address the crisis, bottled water stations were set up at key locations, including Ffynnongroew Canolfan and Talacre Community Centre. A massive shoutout to Welsh Water for ensuring essential places like hospitals and care homes have been supplied with water.
💷 Compensation Time! Affected households will receive £30 for every 12 hours without water, and businesses will receive £75, with additional claims possible for lost income.
Restoring the network isn’t just about patching up pipes. Engineers are carefully refilling over 500km of network to dodge any new bursts and are tackling pesky air pockets slowing the process.
🔈 A Message to You: Welsh Water sincerely apologises for the hassle and truly appreciates everyone’s patience. Vulnerable customers continue to be supported. More than 900,000 litres of water were distributed last Thursday and Friday to those impacted!
Your water network is being re-balanced and refilled with utmost care. A huge thank you to everyone who’s pitched in to help, from local residents to selfless volunteers.
