Tragic news from Eryri National Park: A 36-year-old man has sadly lost his life after falling from the well-known Crib Goch ridge on Saturday, August 16. Emergency services, including North Wales Police and Llanberis Mountain Rescue, swiftly arrived at the scene after being alerted at 11.30am. Despite a helicopter recovery, he was pronounced dead at the scene.


The man’s family has been informed, and formal identification is pending. Authorities are currently investigating the incident. Inspector Jamie Owens expressed his condolences to the man’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
