The 11-year-old, suspected to have suffered from cold water shock, was in a remote spot only accessible via the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, making a lifeboat rescue essential. Thanks to the swift response, the boy was given immediate care by a paramedic, and the RNLI crew transported him safely to Porthclais Harbour, where an ambulance was waiting. 💪

Cold water shock is no joke and can happen quickly even in cooler UK waters. It can affect your breathing and heart rate, leading to dangerous situations if not handled quickly. The RNLI stresses the importance of staying calm and not trying to swim immediately if you find yourself in cold water — those first few seconds are critical. 🌊

A massive shoutout to all the emergency teams involved! Let’s always keep safety in mind when enjoying our breathtaking coastlines. Stay safe, and always respect the water. 🙌
