Police have nabbed a suspect after £1,000 was allegedly swiped from a dying pensioner in Llanelli. Noreen Caulfield, a 72-year-old woman with a double leg amputation, tragically passed away from sepsis on July 17. Amid her hospital stay, her bank card was reportedly used at various ATMs, totalling £1,000 in withdrawals between June 20 and June 27.
The accused, a 49-year-old woman, is said to have kept the money until confronted by Noreen’s family just after her passing. Currently out on bail, she faces ongoing investigations by Dyfed-Powys Police.
