In an unsettling turn of events, a teenager has been charged after allegedly driving a car into a man during an altercation on Bethesda High Street, Gwynedd. The incident, which occurred on Monday afternoon, left one man hospitalised.

Thomas Baker, 19, from Glan Ogwen, Bethesda, is facing several charges, including wounding with intent, assault, and dangerous driving. He’s also been charged with driving without insurance and while disqualified. Baker is set to appear before Llandudno Magistrates Court soon.

Police responded to reports of a confrontation involving four individuals around 1 PM, before the car was reportedly driven into one of the men. Emergency services quickly arrived and transported the injured man to the hospital.

Two others, a 33-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, were also arrested in connection with the incident but have since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Detective Inspector Chris Burrow mentioned distressing footage of the incident circulating online and strongly urged the public to refrain from sharing it further. He emphasized the importance of any additional witness information and encouraged those with details to reach out to the police.
