Come September, Cantonian High pupils will dive into the brand-new Copa wellbeing hub, a beacon of health and fun, complete with an activity studio, gym, and sporty outdoor pitches. 🎉🏋️♀️
This ambitious project is set to transform education in Cardiff by bringing Cantonian High, Woodlands High, and Riverbank School together on one ultra-modern site. Not just for students, these facilities will also be open to the community during evenings, making it the heart of Fairwater’s community activities. 🌍🎓
But there’s more! Plans include lush produce-growing areas with community cafes, work-skill bridging hubs for pupils, and even on-site multi-agency health services, easing the transition for ALN students. 🍃🍎
Despite challenges from the pandemic and a hiccup when the original contractor folded, the project is back on track, thanks to Borley Engineering Services Ltd stepping in. The entire campus is scheduled for completion by September 2026. 🏗️💪
